Hi, I'm Dave and I'm a Data & Analytics Consultant.
I have over 15 years' experience in the data and analytics space, with strategic and hands-on experience across FinTechs, banking and retail. I have worked with a wide range of businesses from start-ups to large multi-nationals, and I have a particular interest in business insights. I also hold a PhD in Physics.

I focus on uncovering key insights in areas like customer behaviour, sales patterns, and marketing effectiveness.
Data education: I offer targeted training for leadership to ensure they can work effectively with data teams, ask the right questions, and develop cohesive corporate data strategies. I also provide refreshers on terminology, statistics, and technology.
Start-up mentoring: I give back to the community by offering free, ongoing advice to early-stage start-ups on getting started with data, cutting through the AI hype, and effectively setting up their data systems.

I love data! I write open-source data profiling software, I publish data analysis on my blog, and I produce a data newsletter. I volunteer as a mentor at King's College London, I plant trees, and I write philosophy. I live in Hertfordshire with my wife and two children.
